TransLink announced this week that they are working on adding a third SeaBus to link Lower Lonsdale to Downtown Vancouver. This would mean that wait times during peak periods will be reduced from 15 minutes to just 10 minutes!
With the high costs of living in Downtown many are turning to the North Shore, particularly Lower Lonsdale as a place to live and are using the SeaBus to get them in and out of Vancouver for work. This allows many to avoid the long waits caused by traffic on the Lion’s Gate Bridge and the Second Narrows Bridge. This quick and easy form of transportation is only going to get better with the expansion of a new boat.
Lower Lonsdale residents have and will likely continue to see their real estate prices grow with the continued linkage provided not only by the current 2 SeaBus’s but also with the third which is expected to be in operation in the next few years.
