Despite any seasonal slow down and/or stabilization in the real estate market Lower Lonsdale continues to remain a hot spot with high demand, new development, and more people new comers arrivining from all over Canada, USA, Europe, Asia and Austraila. Last week after selling a Lower Lonsdale condo in a poor state of repair with 4 offers, I listed a 1 bedroom condo that sold in a couple days. It was in a older complex but in a prime Lower Lonsdale location with views down Lonsdale overlooking Downtown Vancouver.
It seems with the high prices of new construction buyers are turning to older more mature buildings in the Lonsdale region. As a general rule some of these older buildings are in a good state of repair and provide more spacious layouts then can be found in new condo projects. Lower Lonsdale continues to evolve as a thriving urban centre. There has been more boutiques, offices, and retailers that have moved into the Lower Lonsdale region. This has visibly increased the walking traffic in the Lonsdale area. Many desire this region as it offers easy access to all of North Vancouver as well as Downtown Vancouver being easily accessed via the SeaBus.
